We are all looking forward to another trip to the Bahamas where we can again perform on-board ship calibrations for another tanker - the Pigeon Point.
..... also in March 2010
QSL was invited by Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, Bahamas to perform calibrations on a Tankship owned by MOL Management. The success of this calibration cycle has resulted in QSL being asked on-board the Pigeon Point tankship when it drydocks in Grand Bahama Shipyard in May 2010.
Ship board calibration service is a newly emergent aspect of our calibration market diversity. Once our other clients were informed of our capabilities in this arena, we were immediately asked to perform calibrations for the Maritime Maise in Savannah, Georgia.
March 2010
The increasing calibration demands of our clients has resulted in the addition of another calibration technician to our team. Jeannie started at QSL in late March. Jeannie has had the opportunity to learn valuable calibration skills with companies such as Lockheed Martin and FARO Technologies. In addition she has held roles within the Quality Departments of other companies assisting with their ISO or FDA compliance issues. We look forward to having her on board!
January 2010
In January, QSL purchased an Associated Environmental Systems, Temperature and Humidity Chamber. With this new chamber QSL can calibrate more than 10 Chart Recorders at once. Other types of smaller temperature/humidity equipment can now be calibrated in volume resulting in more efficient, more accurate calibrations.
